I really had no idea so many people didn’t know how tipping/serving works.

It’s important to know, folks. The next time you go out to eat, keep in mind that that server isn’t making any money if you don’t tip them, and well.

I’ll never forget being in Toronto and having someone we were sitting with say out loud, IN FRONT OF THE SERVER, that he wasn’t getting a cent of their money. I’d never been more angry in a fucking restaurant, let me tell you.

If you’re thinking of what I think you’re talking about then YES that was just HORRIBLE. D:

  27. sunmono said: Yeah, that’s why I always tip at least 15%, no matter what the service was like, and usually I tip around 20%. (Or even higher- generally I take 17% and round it up to the nearest convenient dollar amount of cash that I have.)
