Brotherhood Rogue by mattplog
I’m gonna rant for a brief second.
I really like Uncanny X-Force, but this issue really annoyed me. And it was this part specifically that did it for me. I loved AoA Rogue/Magneto. I love Rogue/Magneto in general and man a few years back I wrote tons of fics about them in like every verse imaginable—AoA, 616, Evolution, movie, House of M—and while I’m not very happy with how they’re being portrayed right now in the comics I could at least always look back at Age of Apocalypse and remember when I really loved that ship.
But in this they decided to not only kill little Charles—which FU MARVEL—but Magneto and Rogue have broken up and she’s now all hot for Gambit?! Was this really necessary? I am pretty sure Rogue is paired with Gambit in most of the alternate timelines—at least in X-Men: The End and in Ultimate she was—so I don’t even get why they had to go and screw with this.
IDK it just really annoyed me that they had to go and ruin that relationship and I honestly wish AoA was just never touched on again and they all died when everything reverted back to 616 than all the crappy changes that have followed whenever Marvel revisits it.
